Welcome to Shock Studios! These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website and services. By accessing or using our website or engaging with our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. About Shock Studios
Shock Studios is a multimedia advertising company based in New Haven, CT. We specialize in helping small businesses stand out online through high-quality video content, storytelling, and strategic distribution.
2. Services
We offer a variety of media services, including but not limited to:
Brand story videos
Video editing and post-production
Social media content creation
Photography
Content strategy consultations
All services are subject to a written agreement, including pricing, deliverables, and timelines.
3. Client Responsibilities
To ensure the success of a project, clients are expected to:
Provide clear, timely communication
Supply necessary materials (e.g., logos, brand guides)
Be available for approvals and feedback within agreed timeframes
Adhere to payment terms
Failure to meet these responsibilities may delay delivery or result in additional fees.
4. Payment Terms
A deposit (typically 25–50%) is due before project kickoff
Remaining balance is due upon delivery of final assets, unless otherwise stated
Late payments may incur a late fee of 5% per month
No content will be released until payment is made in full
Custom payment terms will be outlined in each project’s agreement or invoice.
5. Revisions and Approvals
Most video and photo projects include up to 3 rounds of revisions. Additional revisions are billed at a standard hourly or per-revision rate, as defined in your project proposal.
Final approval of deliverables is required before the project is considered complete.
6. Intellectual Property
Client Content: You retain ownership of your logos, branding, and other materials you provide.
Final Deliverables: Upon full payment, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the final media assets for marketing and promotional purposes.
Raw Footage: Shock Studios retains ownership of all raw footage and project files unless otherwise agreed in writing.
We reserve the right to use completed work for our portfolio, social media, and marketing purposes, unless otherwise requested in writing before project start.
7. Cancellation and Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule a shoot:
Notice must be given at least 7 days before the scheduled date
Cancellations made within 7 days may result in forfeiture of the deposit
Rescheduling is subject to availability and may incur additional fees
8. Limitation of Liability
Shock Studios is not liable for:
Loss of business or revenue due to project delays
Content taken down by social media platforms or third parties
Errors resulting from inaccurate information supplied by the client
Our total liability is limited to the amount paid by you for the services rendered.
9. Website Use
By browsing our website, you agree not to:
Copy, modify, or distribute content without permission
Use the site in a way that could harm Shock Studios or its users
Submit false information through contact forms
All site content is owned by Shock Studios and may not be reused without written consent.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be resolved in the courts of New Haven County, CT.
11. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on this page. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
